Sampford Courtenay Cider at The Post Inn Whiddon Down Devon

Sampford Courtenay Cider
A  mellow, amber, traditional Devon Cider (ABV 5.5%), slightly sweet with a wonderfully cider apple taste. Plenty of tannin, which has been softened by ageing, complements the sweetness to give a full  ‘old fashioned’ character which delights your taste buds. Only apples from their own orchards are sued – traditional English Cider Apple varieties, Ellis Bitters, Dabinette, Michelin and Browns apple – blended to their own unique recipe. Craft cider in the time-honoured way. 100% fresh apple juice, no nasty modern flavourings no concentrate. Just fresh pressed cider from their own apples fermented and lovingly produced on the farm.

Otter Amber at The Post Inn Whiddon Down Devon

Otter Amber
Otter Amber (ABV 4.0%) was first brewed for the trade in March 2009 as a mid gravity beer to complete the Otter range. Over the last 10 years the ‘mid gravity’ beer has become popular with drinkers, delivering a reasonable strength with great flavour. This gave us the opportunity to develop a really special beer, which within a month of its launch, won its first award in Newton Abbot at SIBA’s prestigious Tuckers Maltings beer festival. Otter Amber has all the qualities of other Otter beers but with a more complex mix of aroma and flavour.
